Dead WCP90
« on: February 13, 2010, 02:02:57 AM »
I have a dead WCP90, which is getting power into the LVPS, but I have not been able to test whether it is getting the right voltage out of it. The machine does nothing when the power is turned on, but I have power coming out of the distribution assembly. Any advice on where to go from here would be helpful. I have a feeling that the LVPS might be bad, or the AC dist, but I am not sure which pins to check.

Ok, so I checked J/P41 , it seems to be giving out the right voltages from ground to pin 1 and pin 3 ( 120) and then 240 from 1 to 3.

Where do I go from here?

About 90 percent of the time its the LVPS, take the cage off and look real close at the power transisters . If they look toasted , replace the LVPS .
